No wonder devs are going to put PVM stuff first as those suggestions and bug reports are mostly clear instead of a bunch of brainlets screeching "SHIT SERVER. X IS BROKEN. FIX. IS JUST BROKEN. WHAT? NO PK CONTENT? FUCK DEVS!"

Re: A breakdown of OSRS pathing
I tried PKing one day and noticed certain actions (specifically barraging) someone while following them will cause you to just stop if they're already in combat in a singles area. That should be fixed so it falls back to following if you can't attack, although I think following the function structure from the post should address that by using the follow function until an attack is possible. I also added an edit about simplifying the "last tile" calculation if that's useful at all..

Great input but thats not quite what pkers mean attacking someone before fully out of combat does give a slight pause. The problem is when ie. barraging someone, when your player pauses to do the animation the movement doesnt actually stop he then gets slingshotted back to the original distance from when he casted the barrage. This is what they mean by unnecessary gap because instead of getting put back at the original distance you were apart when your attack was used, your player is stopped and most likely been put out of attacking distance allowing time to log, tele out or simply run out of the wild.Pvm porn wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2020 7:38 pm I tried PKing one day and noticed certain actions (specifically barraging) someone while following them will cause you to just stop if they're already in combat in a singles area. Re: A breakdown of OSRS pathing
Great input, but you guys are talking about two different things. One is an animation delay and has nothing to do with pathing, the other is a pathing bug..

Re: A breakdown of OSRS pathing
Hey I get changes to pathing is very important to everyone, but we already know Mike and Thoby are looking into it. I can't speak for them but I can say that I personally hate it when I'm already doing something and then have to listen to people making snide comments and tagging me in posts about it.
They can feel free to tell me I'm wrong, but perhaps we should be more appreciate and less passive aggressive?

Thoby knows we all love him and appreciate his work. Tagging him is just an expression of that undying love..

Just call me out why dontcha smh toxic staff. And these threads can help them understand the pathing mechanics they might not know about so these are constructive. I didn't care to read whatever other comments others made because I'm focused on the topic
