As far as I know, the refund box doesn’t have a limit, it just doesn’t have a scroll bar either. So you can store over 65 or whatever, just not access anything past 65. That’s not based on the code it’s just something I heard a long time ago

The refund box was invented to solve one simple problem: how do we give items to players when their bank might be full? We needed a place to put things where there would always be room so we created the refund box which has infinite storage capacity.
New problem: how do we stop people from abusing the refund box as infinite bank space? Easy solution: don't give them a scroll bar, that way they are forced to take stuff out.
If it were up to me you'd only be able to access the first item, not the first 40. Or maybe have it automatically withdraw the first X items as soon as you open it to fill up your invenfory. You're supposed to take stuff out, not use it as extra storage space.

Weird because when testing the bug that's been around since the beginning of the refund box I couldn't get more that 65 items in it

Unfortunately the saving and loading of that data isn't something anyone besides Mike has access to, and even if it were, we don't want to support using the refund box as a means of permanent bank expansion.Azu rite wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 8:44 pmWeird because when testing the bug that's been around since the beginning of the refund box I couldn't get more that 65 items in it

Which items actually all go to refund though? I cant name over 65 different items that go to refund.Raj wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 9:18 pmUnfortunately the saving and loading of that data isn't something anyone besides Mike has access to, and even if it were, we don't want to support using the refund box as a means of permanent bank expansion.
There'd be maybe like 5 to 10 slots max that have to be reserved for event rewards. 3 slots for cash (tickets and gp), all comp capes (& hoods?), Fire cape, max cape, avernic, seed pod & brimstone keys. Am I missing any?
I'm guessing the only way to actually fill your refund box to 65 or more is by getting an admin to place stuff from your bank in refund (as I once did when cleaning out my entire bank. iirc I was unable to drop certain event items) but even then it wasnt completely filled up for me. What am i missing lol
Edit: I guess if you never take out event rewards it could fill up, but I don't think Ben did this, or anyone for that matter.
