Regarding the recent downtime
As you may all know, PkHonor, both the game and website, were offline for the past 36 hours (both are hosted on the same server to reduce our upkeep expenses). This was due to a DDoS attack that started on Saturday evening (GMT timezone), after which the hosting company decided to shut down all network traffic to our server. It was only after several attempts to reach out to the hosting company's support team (which appears to be understaffed during nighttime and weekends), that they finally decided to reinstate network traffic to our server just now.
We are further investigating the issue to make sure there will be no more interruptions in the foreseeable future. We will also make sure to host several in-game events (both global bonus XP events and PvM events) in the coming weeks to compensate for the downtime.
We sincerely apologize for this major outage, which was sadly out of our hands. However, we will do our best to learn from this experience and to think of ways to prevent this sort of thing from ever happening again, or to at least provide a backup plan for our playersto play PkHonor (without any sort of rollbacks) while under DDoS attack or should the hosting company decide to cut our network traffic again as a result from a DDoS attack. We are proud to have a very high uptime during our 12+ years of existence and what happened in the past 36 hours is something that has not occurred in many years past. We will do whatever we can to prevent this from ever happening again.

Re: Regarding the recent downtime
Pretty crazy that this is like the first time in over 10 years that there was significant downtime.

Re: Regarding the recent downtime
What kind of RSPS owner apologizes for something he didn't even do and chooses to reward his players and make it up to them anyways? Proud to be a PkHonorian
