It's still effectively a lot of cash, but makes sense that it should be exclusive in other ways too. Who has 500b and doesn't have the means to get an mstone in the first place?

Oh yeah I guess it would be fine to have multiple ways of getting it. As long as those who have already obtained the demonic throne in PoH get it without having to spend money again.

I thought you meant the opposite: the option to buy the AFK emote should be available only to those who have one in their PoH. I could understand the reasoning behind that: you shouldn't be able to sit around on a demonic throne if you don't actually own one.

Otherwise what it means is basically: no, we shouldn't use the demonic throne emote as a big money sink, we should make it a free bonus feature.

I think this would be bad for three reasons:

1. No one is going to pay to unlock it if they can get it that way. Even if you don't have the throne yet, it would be stupid to pay for the emote if you can get it "for free" later on when you get around to building it. Unless you make it dirt cheap of course but that would both ruin the money sink and defeat the point of showing off that you have a demonic throne.
2. Ultra-rich veterans, the group for which we are trying to invent things to spend wealth on, would be the very people who get it without having to spend any extra wealth.
3. Having by far the coolest chair to sit on be available without having to contribute to this new money sink would effectively make any other AFK emote nearly pointless to buy. You already have a really cool one and you can only use one anyway so very few people will be inclined to pay a lot of money for another one that doesn't even look as good. This would all but remove AFK emotes from the money sink which would be a major blow to it, seeing as sitting AFK is how rich people spend most of their time which makes AFK chairs by far the most desirable visual show-off they might want to spend wealth on.

tl;dr: I think doing that torpedoes the money sink.

Just let people afk in the highest level throne they've built in their house at any point. Optionally, add a coin cost to building thrones, besides the demonic one, which obviously has a very high cost as is. Seems like a nice 2 birds one stone type thing.
