We're talking about features in a video game here. Everything is a want. It's not as if PK'ing was problematic in the many years before zoom existed.

Exactly. Let's just remove the zoom feature all together and have the focus on our character's crotch and leave it at that!

Funny you should mention it. I just moved the camera center closer to the crotch again. You can see in the first 2 screenshots of this thread that it's actually like that on OSRS as well, you just can't zoom in further.

Alright, I have a new WIP client for you to try. This client connects to the live server.

Intended features:
- Min/max zoom ranges should be close to OSRS.
- Camera center adjusted slightly.
- The world around you now renders an equal distance around you in all directions. No reduced view range when angling the camera up/down.
- Players only become visible when you get a little closer to them (not as far as you can see the map tiles).
- The notches on the graphical zoom slider in the settings are not yet accurate.
- Max zoom range on resizeable client may not be ideal for all window sizes.

Love that new zoom. I'm on Mac though and I can scroll all the way out to zoom but cannot scroll back in the whole way, it stops at the notch above the closest zoom!

Could you please provide a screenshot? Like I said in the post, the notches on the visual slider are not meant to function properly yet. If you are able to zoom in to the point where your character almost fills the entire height of the window then everything is working as intended.
