Expecting a casual player to always be 100% invested in a game is unfair and unrealistic. Just because someone jokes around or has a laugh it doesn’t mean that they don’t care. Plenty of us have devoted hundreds of posts and thousands of hours towards the betterment of Pkhonor. Not every post needs to be productive, you’re allowed to take the piss and be an idiot. But to say that we don’t care is disrespectful. We’ve all devoted thousands of hours to this game, we’re all hoping that the server improves and thrives.Natte droom wrote:He is right about a pretty sizeable group of players. They turn it into one big meme and don't care, or they make pointless rants or display toxic behavior ingame. Reality is that many people simply don't care and the ones that really care are rare among those who only say they do. Sad realities aren't always (an attempt at) spreading false and negative information.Church wrote:Please stop spreading this false idea.Iron wrote:You cant suggest stuff like this to a server that doesn't want to help itself.
This isn't helping, it's hurting.

Never understood why Mike doesn’t take 07 gp. He can just RWT this from 07 to websites and make bank off it. Tons of people quit 07, start an rsps, have like 20m left on 07 and dont care about it. Rsps’s make bank off those people. You wont believe how many people rather just donate some 07 to get a head start rather than touching their irl gp.

A reason it's 'bad' is also that people have all tried it already. Literally everyone's played PkHonor at some point, they need a new reason to come back. Rebranding isn't worth it, graphical revamps require a web dev who we have had little luck in obtaining. I'm not a reliable source (as in, I'm a terrible source) of GFX anymore eitherPkhonor being up for 11 years is great and terrible at the same time. Great that the server we all love is still up and running and stable.
Agreed, not like even I'm writing essays anymore. However, I think the idea he was hitting on is that we don't commonly agree on when we need to be serious vs. when we can joke around. It seems like one person or the other is serious in one topic while many others meme, until one of them posts seriously and everyone else memes. There are plenty of threads peppered throughout where everyone's contributing bigtime, and I do genuinely believe that a good chunk of those threads leave a meaningful impression on the developers and staff. Anyone who's been on the staff team knows that implementing those changes while the desire is present is not easy and occurs rarely, since not everyone can be present/on the same page there either. The latency of passing information and ideas between people plays a much bigger role than we consciously remark on.James wrote: Expecting a casual player to always be 100% invested in a game is unfair and unrealistic. Y'all act like it's never been reset before. It had in 2008/2009.
Player counts were already plummeted to 10-20 players online before that though. It took a few months but once the ads rolled out PkHonor blew up. Good management can reset a game with few problems so long as they continue to work hard to grow the server(the right way).
