Judging by the ?... punctuation I'm guessing this is a rhetorical question? But yes, that's what our player counts are like now, from ~30 during low times to ~100 during peaks. Been that way for most of 2019. No, we're not happy about it either.

That must've been 10 seconds after a server restart then. I'm looking over our player count records (measured every 30sec) and it never went as low as that, except right after an update when people are still logging in.

How does PKH fare vs other (top) RSPSes? Considering their actual playercount instead of the fake count, if possible. Any data in that area you have access to?

Maybe 2-3 months? It was definitely sub 20 at least once I'm almost sure of it, very possibly my memory is shot but either way player count is not doing very well and people have been talking about it over the yell a lot which has been not good to see

How does PKH fare vs other (top) RSPSes? Considering their actual playercount instead of the fake count, if possible. Any data in that area you have access to?

Hard to say. We don't have access to any kind of insider data about other RSPS. All we can see is what you can see. The player counts they claim to have are indeed meaningless. The best way to get some idea is to simply log in, teleport around and get a feel for how many players you see. But even then, some servers have fake bot-players walking around so you can never know for sure.

One thing that is clear is that RSPS as a whole are slowly declining. I think that's fairly inevitable. We also get the impression that as other RSPS decline, they start boosting their player counts even more.

As far as we can tell other servers have experienced more or less the same progression as we have. If our actual player counts have halved compared to 2 years ago, so have theirs. These days most of the biggest servers only have 100-200 players on as far as we can tell (even though they claim to have 700+).

Indeed. Same goes for this topic really. We all know what the player counts are like. All that is achieved by talking about it over and over is that the existing players get depressed and the new ones just say nope, let's try the next server. Perception is incredibly important. I guess that's why other RSPS pretend to be big even when they aren't.
