Everyone vote based on what you think is right, not based on "just in case it ends up happening to me".Mr etho wrote:everyone vote : keep status for good luck & overall happy life and gaming future

Re: Hardcore Ironman Mode on death
This was one of the things that were NOT allowed and implemented by OSRS on their ironman accounts as its completely solo play, Yet all irons on here can enter everyones houses, and use fountains, or their bank butlers ect...? which brings me onto my next point about UIM, I take it the following should be implemented
obviously we can't make items using the grand exchange but the item-set NPC at home? Just wondering...it says you can't sent it too bank (Butler) so you can't use a butler too bank in their house, you've got to do it all yourself?..Just wondering whats going to happened as you're not meant to be able to enter or have anyone enter your house in the first place ect...

That's as may be, but if your default mindset is to want everything possible to be safe then maybe you shouldn't be playing the hardcore mode.Mr etho wrote:oh, regardless what the vote outcome is, i will be number 1
EDIT:
We don't know yet, UIM comes after. But with the release of hardcore ironman right around the corner I would ask to keep this discussion limited to hardcore, so we can reach a consensus quickly and release the update (it's just waiting for this poll to resolve really). We can work out the details of UIM when we get to implementing it.Dead wrote:This was one of the things that were NOT allowed and implemented by OSRS on their ironman accounts as its completely solo play, Yet all irons on here can enter everyones houses, and use fountains, or their bank butlers ect...? which brings me onto my next point about UIM, I take it the following should be implemented

Death whilst:
- PVMing in POH - Lose status. Like Adam said monsters like Nomad and Dragon Guardian can give significant benefits.
Clan Wars - Do not lose status. It's a minigame which should be safe.
Wearing a Salve (e) - Do not lose status. Whilst I understand the argument that you can 'stack up' lives, think about the method of obtaining Salve Amulets. They are incredibly rare and wilderness-only. Bare in mind a HCIM will have to venture out into the wilderness to get one. I think fair play if you choose to risk your status to get Salves. For me, there is enough risk involved in collecting them to justify it not being a dangerous death.
Dying to a random event - Do not lose status. It'd just be a shitty way to die really and imagine if you have put thousands of hours in to die like that.
Zulrah - Lose status. Zulrah is a boss that drops a wide variety of loot, it should therefore be treated as a dangerous death.

It is the wilderness version of the minigame though. Shouldn't that version be unsafe? While the regular version would be safe.Isaac wrote:Clan Wars - Do not lose status. It's a minigame which should be safe.

I'm not familiar with that. Is that where you can essentially organize a 3 v 3 and if you die you lose your stuff? If you lose your stuff on death it should follow that you lose status.Admin adam wrote:It is the wilderness version of the minigame though. Shouldn't that version be unsafe? Uhhh actually I'm not sure why this would even be implemented. This was the infamous Red portal on runescape where 90% of lures happened.Isaac wrote:I'm not familiar with that. I take back my point on the basis that clan wars should be safe deaths all around. We should not implement a wilderness style portal. At that point, its literally just a second wilderness.
