problems playing

hi guys, so I have a new laptop im trying to play the game on but im having a few issues if I try and play the game on the webclient I just get a black screen and it doesn't move off the the black screen. I also tried to download the .jar file to play the game on but the laptop wont open the .jar file just keeps asking me to search for apps on the Microsoft store, im not very familiar with windows 10 lol so any help would be greatly appreciated! cheers guys

Sounds like you don't have Java installed. You can get it here.

Personally I would recommend using the installer client instead. It has Java built-in and it's also the only one that supports Windows DPI scaling.

I went through the same thing, even with java installed. I had to manually change it to java through properties, and then use the 'run with' option otherwise it would try to open it with paint or notepad lol.
