My server, again
Heyyo again guys, referring back to a previous thread viewtopic.php?f=81&t=68078
I still have the manifest files in the java files as was instructed in Rapsey's link in the previous thread above, but the client has returned to it's previous state. The Client isn't supported to scale, as well as the HUD. Any other possible fixes?
The manifest files are still in the jdk and jre files.
Thanks, Nick
EDIT: in the regedit, the preferexternalmanifest file, it doesn't set to decimal. Rather when I select decimal, accept, and then go back to edit it the file says hexidecimal. Is it that it's not selecting decimal or that it just doesn't show it?

Does that mean you first noticed it today or 2 weeks ago? Can't actually find any logins from you today.Nickrock234 wrote:I just tried it again today, it's been a week or two.

Re: My server, again
I just noticed it today. The fix worked fine when I first applied it. I tried it today just on the login screen and it was so small again, so I just tried logging in, maybe thinking that the client would scale once logged in but to no avail.Rapsey wrote:Does that mean you first noticed it today or 2 weeks ago? Could you do me a favor and upload a screenshot of your client? (using the one I just gave you)

yeah, I'll upload one of both.Rapsey wrote:Could you do me a favor and upload a screenshot of your client? (using the one I just gave you)
EDIT: Here are the two clients, side by side. The right client is your resized client, the proper size.
Spoiler: show

Re: My server, again
Thank you, that's very helpful.
Earlier today we released a "fix" which disables Java 9's internal scaling mechanism. It was causing everything (text in particular) to look distorted on most scaling factors (125%, 150% etc). It looks like you're running 200% scaling which is probably why everything looks fine for you. I'm pretty sure the Java manifest files you have aren't doing anything right now, it's just Java 9's own scaling at work.
We'll have to figure out how to fix this properly so you won't be screwed again when the next client update hits. I think we'll probably make it jump to the nearest round scaling factor as a quickfix (so 125% becomes x1, 175% becomes x2 etc).
