Re: Client upgrade - bugfix progress thread
23 November progress update: exactly 10 items left on my to-do list before the final testserver release!
//TODO
X noclip for casting/ranged
X let players know when they got a clue or 1M+ drop
X middle mouse camera rotation
X custom crowns in client
X finish pathing
X Randoms don't follow you and give up when you move
X If you click for an example the stairs in castle wars and someone places a barricade in front of the stairs before you arrive there but after you clicked on the stairs, you will walk through the barricade and go down the stairs.
X Seems like salamanders don't work properly. Used black salamander+harralander tar in pernix and I hit 14 as max hit
X The rock going down to the saradomin encampment is not the right thing. It is a pile of rubble and weapons.
X Woodcutting level up shows a stick instead of the tree symbol in the chat box (actually it shows part of a tree, but the top is invisible)

Re: Client upgrade - bugfix progress thread
28 November progress update: fixed some more bugs and I've been working out the final implementations of pathing and following. Hopefully this should be done within 2 days, after which we'll release the new (final?) testserver
Pathfinding and following seems pretty much perfect so far, including ranged/magic related stuff. I still need to run some more tests to make sure everything really does work as it should, while adding a couple of NPC-related pathing improvements and adding some performance optimizations to save on the server CPU load.

Give it to us straight, doc. Will we ever be able to dance again?Mike wrote:28 November progress update: fixed some more bugs and I've been working out the final implementations of pathing and following. Probably notThe builder wrote:Give it to us straight, doc. Will we ever be able to dance again?
30 November progress update: pathing is completely done, aside from a few really small improvements (for NPC's following players) that I'd like to work out tomorrow. All reported bugs are fixed and we're currently re-running all database queries to release the new testserver!
We'll let you know when the new testserver is ready - probably tomorrow morning, but with the huge amount of changes (and the fact that our testserver doesn't have SSD's like our production server), it'll probably take all night before it's done.
