You say it was all about reasoning however I don't see where a nerf were discussed. I used to camp barrows, and trust me when I say this, the rates were maybe 1\20, but I could go dry for 2-3 hours aka 100+ chests. It feels more like "Oh this is a good moneymaker? lets nerf it and make it 100% rng wether you make decent money or not". This is one reason we don't have consistent moneymaking method besides elves and sara?

There's more then just elves & sara.. Zamorak, arma, nex, bandos, barrels (are still decent), KQ, kraken, etc.
People like to say there aren't ways to make good money but there are plenty of ways to make some great GP.

I do however feel that Mike should have buffed the unique items that other bosses drop (gwd for instance) to push players to actually want to go to pvming areas that are a bit more difficult.

Most of the NPC's you listed is truly trash for consistent moneymakng unless you get real lucky and gets a unique drop. With a luck as mine, I'd be happy to make 100m in 1h from zammy, arma, bandos, barrels and even Kraken.
