[Wildy poll 2] In combat as soon as a hit is incoming?

I'm honestly not sure how it's done in OSRS, so if anyone can tell me how it works there, that would be great. Either way, the title says it all: if a spell or ranged attack is underway (but hasn't hit an enemy yet), should you already be counted as "in combat" to prevent logging out, or not?

Also Mike, could you poll the idea of banning the effect of divines/elys when in combat with another player?

If the spell is cast, and the caster is in range then you'll be in combat but if the caster simply casts the spell and is out of range the target can log out

So if the hit registers and the player is in the act of casting it

We have it the same as on osrs atm.
I foresee problems with people being in combat from a distance.

Techincally, if you are auto casting a spell, second your animation begins the player is incapable of logging.

If you're not auto casting and you click the spell and then click the player (with no previous combat with them) they're able to 1game tick log. If they miss that window, then they're either splashed or hit, still making them unable to log.
