i dont think they should be allowed to because it pretty much removes the entire purpose of the whole ironman thing, why make it an ironman account when I can just do it without the status lmao

We listen to what the community wants, whether it makes sense or not. That way, no one can complain. In all honesty, I thought my reasons for voting no were very specific, so I'm not sure why everyone else is voting no. It would be nice to see why, but they obviously have their reasons. I'm guessing the main reason people are saying "no" is because they don't feel it is a necessary update, and don't want extra time spent on it.Mike wrote: So how do we fix this?

I expect a lot (if not most) Ironman mode players will do it for the highscores rank, since there will be a different highscores for ironman mode players.
However, some people will get tired and not care as much about the highscores (anymore) and will want to revert it. In which case they'd have to give in their donator and premium status (but will recieve back whatever they paid in the shop) and get removed from the ironman mode highscores. So you get to trade/stake again, but you get permanently removed from ironman mode highscores. It's a decision the player would have to make for himself, but if we don't allow the ability, that choice gets taken from them.
I simply don't see any reason to not allow reverting (unless we'd add higher droprates, but I'm not entirely in favor of that just yet), and I see at least a few good reason to allow it.
Implementing that would take 10 minutes. Out of the whole process of making ironman mode, it's really one of the smallest things. But it might influence other aspects of the mode which is why we need to decide on it now.Joby wrote:We listen to what the community wants, whether it makes sense or not. Well here is a possible reason: A large amount of players that play PK Honor can be quite impulsive at times. Someone has an iron-man account after a boring day, and decides to revert. The next day, they realize they made an awful mistake, and come on the forums begging for their account to be reverted back. I actually foresee this happening a lot.Mike wrote:Highscores.Voltaire wrote:i dont think they should be allowed to because it pretty much removes the entire purpose of the whole ironman thing, why make it an ironman account when I can just do it without the status lmao

Leaving out the option to revert is protecting players from ruining their accounts.

Make it require a bank pin and require 7 days @ Joby, your problem is solved...

There would definitely be a one week delay before the reverting actually happens, to prevent people from making this mistake and protection them against hackers.Joby wrote: Well here is a possible reason: A large amount of players that play PK Honor can be quite impulsive at times. I do see one possible reason to not allow it: if an ironman mode player quits and gets hacked, the hacker could revert the status and take all items away a week later. It's not a scenario that'll happen often, but it might happen. I still do think the advantages of allowing to revert outweigh the dangers or disadvantages.
And yeah, a bank pin would surely help. We may want to enforce one for ironman mode either way.

I personally think they shouldent be able to revert.Mike wrote:There would definitely be a one week delay before the reverting actually happens, to prevent people from making this mistake and protection them against hackers.Joby wrote: Well here is a possible reason: A large amount of players that play PK Honor can be quite impulsive at times. For one it takes away from the whole purpose of ironman, secondly it takes away from updates that we could add, for example giving ironman a higher droprate or something along those lines.

I don't think it really takes away the purpose of ironman, but the second point is solid. If there ends up being a world only for ironman, then that could actually be faster money than staying on a regular world.Matt wrote:For one it takes away from the whole purpose of ironman, secondly it takes away from updates that we could add, for example giving ironman a higher droprate or something along those lines.
