Bounty hunter released on testserver
As Dylan has announced earlier, our work on Bounty Hunter is nearing the end. That being said, we've hereby released a new testclient so our players can try out the update on our test server.
A bounty hunter store is not yet available there, but at least you can try out the rest of the BH system already. Please let us know if you notice any bugs or have ideas for improvements.
The test server can be played through any of these clients:
Webclient: http://test.pkhonor.net (does not work in Chrome)
Jar client: http://client.pkhonor.net/PkHonor_testclient.jar
Zip client: http://client.pkhonor.net/PkHonor_testclient.zip
In addition, I've spent the last few days rewriting important parts of our client <> server communication protocol and have managed to replace our networking framework with a new one, which is hopefully more stable than what we've had thus far. Whether this will put mass dc's to rest for good is not known, but it certainly won't hurt us. We'll also have more information to work with and I have gained some valuable insights in how the communication works exactly.
Happy testing! Please let us know if you have played on our test server and if you have noticed anything at all (aside from those long lines of easter eggs). Whether you notice anything or not, please do always vote on our poll so we know how many players have successfully tried out our new communication protocol.
Update: I've hereby managed to add mouse wheel scrolling in interfaces (like your bank or the chat window) as well as camera angling by holding and dragging your middle mouse button.
I'm not yet sure if the sensitivity of the camera angling is alright, but that can be easily adjusted.
The test clients do not automatically update (except the webclient), so you'll have to download your testclient to enjoy and test these new features.

Great
Assuming theres no issues with bounty hunter, how long can we expect until its implemented on the actual server?

Re: Bounty hunter released on testserver
Zip Client download is not currently working.
Edit: Not sure if this is normal but in the test server at the drop party I clicked on a non noted drop and it gave me 4 of the item not noted and it picked up all in one click (I didn't have to click 4 times to get 4 unoted items)

Too bad, guess I need to improve our corrupt packet handling. Thanks for letting us know!Pf13 wrote:Just had a 'random dc' in the test server :/

Is it me, or does it seem like reaction times aren't the same.
I clicked 3 squares away, and it waited like 2 seconds before my character moved.
