Mike quick question, if a forums moderator resigned, would they be given the ex-staff rank?

Is Forums Moderator a staff member?...

I believe so, but I asked Patel and Bergeron about it and they didn't know.

They're just not involved/have no more influence over ingame decisions than a regular player.

Why might I ask do actual Ex-Staff not get ex-staff just because they didn't go from staff to not staff after this post, that seems a bit retarded to me.

Because given our lengthy Ex-Staff list this would undoubtedly spark a whole discussion on who deserves it and who doesn't. Especially given that in the past, some positions were a lot easier to obtain and we don't even know for sure how long some of those people were staff. So yeah, more fair and less drama this way.

What about ex staff helpers? I know helpers aren't regarded as staff, and I think giving them an ex staff title would be weird. But being a helper for 6+ months also shows a lot of dedication in my opinion.

As for those people complaining about why we're not granting the ex-staff title to our ex-staff before the introduction of the title, we have had nearly 200 staff members in the entire history of PkHonor, and we really can't be bothered to go figure out who deserves it and who doesn't. Not to mention all the flamewars that would undoubtedly go on between players about "this person deserves it and this one doesn't" and no matter what we decide, there would always be complaints. We chose for the easy solution and the short pain by only giving the title from this point onward, so that we can keep the complaints to a minimum.

For Daan getting ex-staff, wasn't he supposed to get advisor? No offence but it looks like advisor>ex staff (ex staff is nothing more than a fancy title right?). It looks to me like: Hey Daan, thanks for all your dedication here's advisor. Oh wait, you sucked too hard, here is a candy (you get what I mean).

To be fair, one of the main reasons we decided to introduce the title at this point is because Rapsey and myself had decided not to grant the Advisor rank to Daan (the reasoning why will not be laid out here to avoid arguments on the topic). However, we still wanted to thank him for his service and all the work he had done, therefore he's the first person to receive the ex-staff title. Let's just leave it at that, I'm afraid no amount of complaining will change anything. Thank you.

Seeing I resigned after Daan did, and I wa on the team for more then 1 year and a half, forum and in-game wise.

I think it shouldn't be that hard to set a standard for people who deserve the title.
