Staff Update #66 - Promotions/Demotions.
Posted: Thu Jun 17, 2021 2:19 pm
Hello,
It's been a while since I've done one of these, but there's been a lot going on the last few months in terms of promotions, suspensions and what not.
First big update, Isaac or 99 5killz, Iron 5killz or what ever the hell he goes by nowadays, has been promoted to senior mod. Isaac has been on the team for quite some time now, but that's not the reason for his promotion. PKHonor has been going through somewhat of a lull period recently, and Isaac has shown the willingness and capability to be a calm, leadership presence in the team. As such, I've decided to reward his work with a promotion. Congratulations!
Next big update, was the addition of Arrsenic to the trial moderator team. From what I understand, somewhat of a mixed reception regarding his promotion, but so far I've been witness to a very capable moderator who seems to be having a very good impact on the staff team. I feel its been a very positive move and I'm excited to see what he has to come!
As for suspensions, these are something I'll go over in more detail. The most recent suspensions and demotions have been, for the most part due to inactivity. For quite a few months now, I've been keeping a close eye on the activity of the staff team and minimum hour requirements have enforced, requirements that have been around since before I was a moderator. Staff members are given two chances to "Fail" the requirement. If they do, they receive a one week suspension. Sadly, this policy has also had its casualties. We've lost many good people, and good moderators. Unfortunately, that's just the way it has to be.
I'm not going to make a topic every time somebody gets suspended, because hell.. I'll be the most active poster on forums. So I'll continue to save the updates for bigger occasions. This is more so for transparency then any other reason.. Because I know there's going to be a few salty bastards that will claim "you're only doing this because of that rage topic!". No. Activity monitoring and suspensions have been happening for months now.
But yeah.. Thats all I have for you for now. Watch this space, more staff updates coming soon
