Items lost on death

In OSRS, if you die with a stack of items, you can only keep up to 3 items from that stack. In the early years of PkHonor, we decided to do it differently, mostly because it seemed preferable for our players to keep a whole coin stack (or bolt/arrow/... stack) when you die, rather than just 3 coins or 3 arrows. This change was one that made dying in PvM (sometimes) not as bad for a player, and since it didn't seem to make that much difference for PK'ing, we never bothered to change it either.

However, with the upcoming wilderness resource area - where an NPC will be present that can note skilling supplies for our players - it seems logical - almost indisputable - that our "items lost on death" mechanic needs to change. Otherwise, gathering supplies (and noting them) at the resource area would be a completely risk-free undertaking, which does not agree with the "risk vs reward" aspect of the wilderness. We need our players to choose between risking more items versus undertaking the trip to store the gathered items in their bank, not "stack them up indefinitely until I get killed and respawn with the whole stack of noted items".

I really want to stress that this change needs to happen. Not just for the sake of our core mechanics being closer to OSRS, but mostly because it benefits our server as a whole. As with everything, community approval is still necessary for this kind of changes, but please think about the common good before you vote.

Thanks alot for your ironical second vote option boss.

Its an obvious glitch that needs to be patched as it takes every bit of risk away farming stuff within the wilderniss. Especially when people already get xp amplifiers.

EDIT: Resource is to revamp wild. So if they keep their stacks, dead content wilderniss wise. Keep in mind bunch of pvmers that will have 0 wild insight have the right to vote no.

Is there a way to structure it such that if your death is to NPC's it'd be the second option, but the first if it's to a player?

Would need to be wary of people purposefully dying at kbd or some shit instead of to a pker, but if we had like a 5 minute timer, that if a player was attacked by another player within the last 5 mins they would lose all but 3 items, but otherwise they'd keep 3 stacks?

It's just so convenient for pvm...

Technically, yes, but it would be preferable to have the same mechanic no matter how you die. If the vote ends in a tie, I might consider it, but I'm hesitant to make it that way.
Not to mention that the "items lost on death" screen would be incorrect, leading to added confusion. Or we'd have to add "Show items lost on death in PvM" and "Show items lost on death in PvP" options when you click the items lost button in the character overview tab.

Can you show results of people voting no.

@Mark, put your arabs to good use for once and let them rinse this poll into a one-sided yes vote/

Suggestion: Outside the wilderness we keep pkh way, in the wilderness it'll be the osrs way?
