Dueling & simultaneous deaths

So, we all know that if you're in a duel and you die at the same time as your opponent, the duel ends in a draw and you both get the items back that you staked.

However, I've recently heard some complaints about folks getting a kill but dying to poison a second later, and the duel ending in a draw rather than a win.
I noticed that I had coded it as such (a while ago, when I implemented the 'duel draw' mechanism) that if you die within 6 game ticks (3.6 seconds) of your opponent's death, it's a draw.

So the question is simple: should we keep this '6 game tick' timeframe or should we lower it so that only if you kill each other in the exact same game tick (or within 2 - 5 game ticks) should result in a draw?

The player also should not be able to attck one game tick after they have died. There are times in PvP where the opponent will die, and they are able to get another hit in a couple ticks after their hp has hit zero.

What I understand is that it's not about hitting, it's about dieing because of poison after you killed the other guy.

Point blank;

The same game tick that someone completely dies, all damage is canceled torward the other player, in pvp situations.
ONLY things that can hit after someone dies, is a recoil ring, vengence, retribution/wrath, poison (only in the wild).

Staking, the same game tick that the person died, is the end of the duel. If the poison hits on that game tick and causes double death, then fair. Other then that, there shouldn't be any delaying game ticks.

After one person dies the other should be unable to even hit them like in rs.

I lost 3 duels today in a row. Like duel needs to be reworked then I died about 3 times or so I hit constant 0's idk what's going on but mellee needs to be reworked quite a bit in my option... I've been hitting shit for the past 3 months that's why I've been in the works of selling all my gear etc and working on skilling till all this gets redone....
