The past week, I have mostly focused on our combat system (particularly the Dharok's axe and the Granite maul which needed to be rebalanced). I've also been working on fixing some bugs while redoing our account recovery system to be much more efficient.
I've also worked on a lot of client-sided updates, such as:
-> A quick reply feature for personal messages. You will soon be able to left-click a personal message to reply, or press the 'Tab' key to reply to the last PM you received.
-> The ability to disable game messages (important game messages in a different color will still be displayed even if you turn messages off).
-> Fixing the godsword animations on clients using the oldschool animations.
-> Fixing the staff control panel freeze problem.
-> Fixing the 'DC through casting a spell on an NPC' bug.
-> Making items in your inventory much less sensitive to being accidentally dragged when you click on it.
In the past, if you moved your mouse only a few pixels while clicking on an item, sometimes you dragged it instead of using/equipping it (which is a pain if it happens mid-combat).
After the update, you will need to move your mouse a lot more while clicking to actually drag it. This should not have any negative effects and people will be much less likely to accidentally drag an item they meant to click.
I just need to add some construction-related stuff to the client yet, and there will be another client update which includes all of the above. This may however take some time yet, depending on how fast I progress in the construction skill and how much time I spend on combat instead.
I will now continue working on combat improvements and fixing bugs while also continuing my work on the construction skill. Stay tuned for more updates!
