Skiller fab has been abusing this bug prior to Mike's fixing, and even after it now.

It wasn't included in yesterday's updates, or else I would have put it on the update log.

I've hereby issued a server update within 8 hours (7AM GMT, 8 AM CET) where the duel arena bug will (or at least should) be fixed.

It should be. However, if you use the new hitmarks, the hit will show as melee but that's just a visual thing.
