Having the dev rank removed is wild l0l who authorized that
The community-driven RuneScape Private Server

I mean... Can you blame them with your recent reactions to stuff? Its not like you were demoted, just removed for a time so you can cool down. But you been on this tirade for days now. Just move on bro, it aint that deep.
You probably have an unbiased opinion actually, I will trust your wordWir3d wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 8:51 am I mean... Can you blame them with your recent reactions to stuff? We appreciate the free work you gave to the server, we do, but like clam down and take a deep breathe man. There will always be criticism, good or bad, but its how you handle that, that shows your character. You've been acting like a victim and having a victim mentality in all this, but have you asked your self why you are involved in all this and none of the other mods, admins, devs?
Just drop it and move on bro, this ain't worth the stress you are causing yourself. If this is too much for you, just step down and get away for a while, if you miss it come back and be a player rather than a dev and enjoy the game. If you want to pursue coding then do so, but don't take everything to heart.
The line is pretty much always an executive decision (i.e. like when players are banished/removed from the server with something more permanent than an ipban). I agree that mods should not be the ones to make it, it's either a joint staff decision or something decided by higher-ups.Wir3d wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 12:41 amPatel wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 12:28 am
The assumption is that with any real punishment, we lose players.
Hot take:
I don't think all players actually benefit the server equally. Shitty player bases ruin communities and kill games. Who's joining an unwelcoming environment? And this perspective of "well it's the internet," is known to everyone, but we're not 13 anymore. It holds limited ground because people have standards now and expect adults to be able to commit to a bare minimum.
Banter is different from constantly getting under people's skin. At some level you have to dehumanize them and not see a person behind the screen to cause the kind of conflict I see on here sometimes. Still, things sort of work if people have each other's backs on any side of a conflict. It doesn't work when you just have a toxic pool and people feel less and less motivated to jump in it on a daily basis.
Thats true, but I am willing to lose a couple players that are causing problems to the majority of server.
We can moderate the discord to a sense tho, but truly it'll never happen. As people are put in power to punish and moderate, they take it upon themselves to make those decisions on what is right and wrong and not follow the guidelines set upon them. I 100% agree that certain ppl causing drama every day should be timed out and ultimately removed when asked countless times to stop but where do you draw the line? If some are taken as jokes\trolls and others see it as bait\flame, who is in the right? Someone will always be hurt and someone will always be punished but who wins in the end. I think mods are doing a good job keeping discord clean of all rule breakers as is.
Oh look, its another fella who was harassed endlessly by Wir3d and his goons. Hope you are doing well brother!Ephriam wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2024 6:00 pm It’s sad that we see people who contribute so much to the community being punished for standing up for themselves against harassment. Raj does so much free work to improve the game and yet he’s treated like trash by staff and uppers. Pkhonor has a harassment issue and we choose to consistently silent the people subjected to the harassment not the aggressors.
