Yeah and they could also lose whatever "benefits" they got cheaply upon reset.
The benefits Mike is talking about are things like greater drop rates.
Can't really just "lose" all the drops they got as an ironman upon reverting...
No option to revert
.
They don't need better drop rates though, it defeats part of the notability associated with Ironman if you know they're getting more drops simply because they're an Ironman. The only benefit to Ironmen PVM-wise should be a private height for bossing.
I agree.

In my opinion ironman accounts should not be able to revert to normal accounts. Increased drop rates are extremely useful for bossing and therefore without the drop rate increase getting something like full bandos and godswords would be almost impossible without several thousands of kills. Also the ironman pvming height would be really good, though on 07 ironman do have to compete against normal players so im not sure bout that. I want ironman to be a challenge but I also like these little things that help.

07 also has 70~ worlds and far less maxed players as a % of the player base. If you want Ironman to be a challenge, their own height is the way to go because it instantly prevents any possible way people could cheat at (most) bosses. If you then have NORMAL, not increased, drop rates then loot is actually impressive too; increased rates take away a lot of the prestige surrounding the achievements.
I also don't think anyone realises what drop rates actually are on PKH. It would not take thousands of kills for anything. Even on OSRS you can expect to have every drop from a GWD boss within 512 kills and it's ten times easier to do on PKH so it's not going to be nearly as challenging as you're making it out to be.

The whole point of an Ironman is to achieve your goals without any outside help. What would be the fun in making an account to start fresh and earn everything on your own to ruin it later on? As stated by others, making an option to revert would just make a huge mess and would cause a lot of unnecessary commotion. With an option to revert, it virtually makes Ironman mode pointless.
-Should not be able to revert to Normal player status

What in the fuck are you talking about? It's not like they would be able to revert back to ironman after being normal lol.

As long as people can chose whether they want to do it or not, go for it.

What????
And, no. If you make an ironman you make an ironman. Not an account thats used for better pvm loots or whatever benefit they get to then later on become a normal player again.

The people's logic on this thread in a nut shell
"omg guiz if youz bkomz premiumz den u shudnt git tew remewv the status bkoz u gits da benefitz phrum et"
"omg guys if you become a premium user you shouldn't be able to remove the status because you got benefits from being a premium user"
See, when you apply that logic to other statuses then it doesn't make any sense, now does it?

That may be true for some, but I said no because it adds lots of factors that shouldn't even be there. Why risk glitches/bugs when there isn't a good reason to convert back in the first place.
