i agree with simon - bridders who come to the game will expect spells to go 8 spaces
i think fixing long options will go a long way, but probably not enough
maybe an inherent +5 or so magic defence when entering wilderness?

YESSSS this would make pking so much fairer.
Especialy since fcers will basically be eliminated now.

When people cast a spell on any variation of a runescape game, they expect their spell to travel 8 squares. Likewise, a person on longranged expects his bolt to travel 8 squares.
I really think that nerfing magic this much will do more harm than good.
LOL that's bs, no one counts the squares.
But there's a marked functional hinderance when range can't hit as far as mage.
Mage is already OP as hell so it'd be good to nerf it.
