But what about ironmen? We aren't able to purchase them from other players and 2 of 5 ways to obtain them are voided for us. How will we be able to sustain the usage of a set? We'd have to get 3 ancient repair kits per hour through pvm'ing and somehow I feel like that's a little unlikely when it's an ultra-rare.Mike wrote:The chance should be decent. Of course, in the early days, there will be far more demand for the kits than there is supply, but there will be a steady stream of new kits through various means.Fungamer wrote:Is the chance on getting the repair kit good? I mean, we're talking about 3 items (in a set) that need charging at the same time.
Does the 'clock' also tick when you're just wearing the gear, or whilst in combat ?
Next to that, great job
And as with all degradable items, it only degrades while in combat.

A good point, you have.Daevien wrote: But what about ironmen? We aren't able to purchase them from other players and 2 of 5 ways to obtain them are voided for us. On the other hand, the current system does have an advantage. It makes Nex items something that people should consider when they want to use it. Players should not simply be able to use the best gear uninterrupted 24/7.
As I said, we'll see if there's a need to introduce them in a shop in the near future. For now, we're leaving it the way it is.
I understand this change may seem rather unpleasant, but this is how Nex items should have always worked since they were first added. Whether the repair kits are too hard to obtain is something that only time will tell.
That's only in the wilderness, otherwise people in Torva are literally unkillable in wild. OSRS doesn't even have items this strong, so we certainly shouldn't let them rule the wild through insane HP boosts. The boost works in PvM though.Nomad wrote:Can we do something about Torva giving no HP boost please.

Increasing how long you can wear it in combat for Ironmen is good too, I think.Mike wrote:A good point, you have.Daevien wrote: But what about ironmen? Yeah I can understand that. However unless we are able to have a somewhat smooth inflow of the kits, it makes it extremely un-proportionately hard for us to use gear that we grinded hundreds of hours for. Anyways we shall see I guessMike wrote:A good point, you have.Daevien wrote: But what about ironmen? I talked to you about this ingame, If nex and minions drop 1 kit each, I think the income of kits would be slow in proportion to the demand, especially early on, and especially that the drop rate is "Ultra rare", not only for ironmen, but for all the community, Ironmen's case is worse for sure.Daevien wrote:Yeah I can understand that.
