Introduction:

Thieving is the subtle skill of stealing. There are two different types of stealing you can perform, the act of stealing from stalls OR stealing from ones pocket. To begin thieving, select 'Skilling Teleport' located in your spellbook. You will be prompted with a list of options. Select 'Thieving'. You will teleported to the middle of Ardougne Market.

When you thieve from stalls, you will notice that sometimes the items on display will disappear.

Gloves of Silence

These gloves are a major benefit to those who wish to obtain 99 thieving, or even just reach a certain amount of experience. Gloves of Silence can boost the thieving experience you obtain by 30%. Unfortunately, the gloves are untradeable, but still easily obtained.

What you'll need:

- Level 64 Craft -
- Level 57 Hunter -
- Thread -
- Needle -
- Falconer's Glove (If you don't have the fur) -

Obtaining Gloves of Silence With 57 Hunter:

When you have the requires levels and materials, go to your spellbook and select 'Skilling Teleport'. One the list of options appears in your chatbox, select 'More Skilling Zones' > 'More Skilling Zones' > 'Hunter'. You will be teleported to the snowy hunting area. Speak to the Hunting Expert and select 'Teleport to another hunter area' > 'Woodlands hunting area'. The woodlands area is located south of Piscatoris and north of Eagle's Peak. When you have arrived at the location, run north east until you see a fenced off area with kebbits inside. Run towards the northern fence line and climb over the stile. Once you have entered the fenced off area, run south until you see Dark Kebbits - there is a total of five located within this area. Equipping your Falconer's Glove, right click a Dark Kebbit and select 'Catch Dark Kebbit'. The falcon perched on your glove with fly off your characters arm to swoop down on a Dark Kebbit, you will receive 1x Dark Kebbit Fur and 1x Bones from a successful capture. After picking up the Dark Kebbit Fur, use your needle in your inventory to transform it into a pair of Gloves of Silence.

Note: Dark Kebbit Fur is also untradeable.

Thieving Skillcape: 99,000gp & 99 Thieving

After you have achieved 99 Thieving, you are granted the ability to purchase a Thieving Skillcape from 'Bob' the Skillcape NPC. Bob, as he was once known, can be found in the clothes store, located in Varrock Square. To access his store, simply click on him (Trade Untrimmed Capes) - doing so will open up his supply of 'Untrimmed Skillcapes'. However, if you wish to purchase a 'Trimmed Skillcape', right click and select 'Trade Trimmed Capes'.
