[Review] Dharok's set

Post by Mike » Tue May 06, 2014 11:34 am

Time for another review of the Dharok's set.

As of the last update 5 days ago, the Dharok's set special has been changed. It has a 0% chance of occuring at full HP and a 99% chance of occuring at 1 HP (50% chance at half HP etc.). Question being: does it seem balanced, too weak or too strong? Make sure you've tested it after 1 May before voting!

From what I've heard so far, it still seems to be too weak but I wanted to put up this poll to make sure. If the vast majority votes 'too weak', I'll make the special effect occur 25% of the time on full HP and 100% of the time at 25% HP or less.

I think people just think it's too inaccurate because they can't hit 70+ when they're under 20HP every other hit.

This.

Before admittedly it was far too weak but before that it was way too powerful, you hit 60+ at 70 hp persistently.

I haven't had time to test it myself but by the sounds of it, it's sitting right in the middle ground of the two aforementioned changes which sounds good to me.

Testing it now. You seem to rarely hit higher than 30 @ 60HP or so, and I can hit a noticeably better at far lower HP. I'm a fan so far. Still a lot of 0s and 5-20 hits though...still seems rather inaccurate, I mostly hit 0, but the hits don't seem too bad, when it does hit.

I understand that it should hit higher and with more accuracy with low hp. It is also a rare event that you get 1hped in pking. Please just be aware that dharoks is also used in PVMing. It is not a seldom to see people with dharoks with 1 hp at elves. If you make the accuracy and the damage too high, dharoks will become too overpowered for PVMing at places where you can't receive damage (like elves)

Meh, it's decent, but good enough right now.

Not really, even when it was good and you hit 100s it wasn't that good for pvming.

Like Danny said, it's far too inaccurate. I've been watching a lot of 07 streams, and a majority of the time they are at 35-45 HP when axing, and they hit 60s. Not all the time, but a good amount of the time. This will really have to be a trial and error, until we did the right balance.

I took my spot as " King of Dharock Pking" , a long time ago and still have the title.

No worries, Champ will go check it out and give you a review.
